Huis II – Sold
This specific house was subject of my paintings twice back in 2017. Something about the feeling of the past and the grandness of this house that spoke to me. This house, although allready more abstract, still has specific characteristics and is recognizable as a certain type of house. It’s the second one in a longer series of ‘House’ paintings, where I examine or search for the shape and boundaries of a House. Now this second one has found itself a new place!
Dit specifieke huis is in 2017 twee keer onderwerp van mijn schilderen geweest. De grootsheid en het gevoel van verleden tijd sprak mij aan bij dit huis. Hoewel al meer geabstraheerd is dit huis nog herkenbaar als een bepaald type huis. Het is het tweede huis-schilderij in een langere serie van ‘Huis’ schilderijen waar ik de vorm en de grenzen van ‘een huis’ (onder)zoek. Deze tweede heeft een nieuw thuis gevonden!
